WIW: Grey, blue and brown, 2 times

Twice in the last week I ended up with light grey semi-tucked into ... I guess I can call these boyfriend jeans, with my brown belt and thus brown Birks.

(The updo in #1 was completely unsuccessful and fell out about 15 seconds after I snapped that photo.)

In #2 you can see my new sunglasses, but my face looks oddly 5 miles long.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Usually I wouldn't pair grey and brown, but ...

You look hip and spiffy in #2. Great hair and bag.

Thanks, Angie! I had my bag custom made last year, and I'm loving it!

I love your bag too.  And the slouchy fit on the jeans is great.  I like grey and brown together.  I prefer the grey tee in 2, I think the fit/fabric combination is good.

I love grey and brown together! You look great, especially in 2. In 1, I think one more roll on the jeans would look more balanced. Sorry the updo didn't work! Hair can be so fussy. Lol

Those shades are perfect on you and to me at least, have a huge cool factor.
Really like brown and grey for summer...maybe it's a faux pas but I like it a lot.
Oh and just LOVE the color scheme on your house!
ETA: Much prefer t-shirt #2 on you.

Seems like it's universal that the slimmer-fit, v-neck is preferable with the slouchy jeans, which is good to hear, since that's actually the top silhouette I prefer, and it made sense to me to pair it with the roomier jeans (a pretty new thing for me), but I was afraid these didn't have quite enough length for these jeans right now, since they're looser at this point. This'll make it easier, though! And glad to hear the color combo is acceptable, too.

I like the details on the top in #1 (bits of lace and beads embroidered over the asymmetrical printed tonal florals), but I've never loved the shape of it. I would have purged it, but DH likes it.

Kiwigal, Thanks! I probably need to clean out my bag, it tends to get overfilled.

Eva, Interesting about another roll helping on #1, can you tell why?

Smittie, Thanks! I hunted for ages and ages for regular specs (and even after having worn my current ones for a couple weeks, I'm now awaiting a different pair), but the instant I tried on these sunglasses, I knew I loved them. They have a logo on the temples, which is the main thing I don't like. But my hair covers the temples a lot of the time, so I try not to let it bother me. And thanks for the house-color love. :)
